How do I check if I damaged anything? Would the head be ok? The car is 2003 BMW 540i - M62B44TU engine. I realize that I am a complete dumba$$, I've already accepted this and made proper arrangements in my life. The temperature is -13 (8.5 F for the Americans). Went for a driver during lunch (mostly highway).Ĭame back to work, parked my car and noticed a bit of steam coming through the grill. ![]() Woke up today morning, drove it to work (10 min drive didn't heat up yet) ![]() ![]() I was just washing my car yesterday, decided to check coolant level, topped it up a bit and didn't close the coolant cap, closed the hood and went to sleep. I still can't believe I let this happen I have plenty of experience with cars not to let this happen and I cannot explain how I let this slip.
